Everything you need to know before placing an order with New Mexico Gun Shop.

All firearms ship to a federally-licensed FFL dealer of your choice. At checkout you will be asked to provide your nearest FFL location — we ship the firearm with all required ATF paperwork to that dealer. Once it arrives the dealer will contact you to complete the background check (Form 4473) and pick up your firearm. Most local FFL dealers charge a transfer fee of $25-$50 which is paid directly to them.

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) processed through a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified gateway with TLS 1.3 encryption. We do not currently accept PayPal, Venmo, or cryptocurrency for firearm purchases due to those platforms restrictions. Bank wire transfers are accepted on orders over $2,500 with a 3% discount.

Orders placed before 2 PM Mountain Time on business days ship the same day from Albuquerque. Standard ground shipping reaches most of New Mexico within 1-2 business days, the Southwest in 2-3 days, and the rest of the continental US within 5 business days. Expedited 2-day and overnight options are available at checkout. Tracking is provided via email as soon as your order leaves our warehouse.

Federal law prohibits firearm returns once they leave an FFL dealer to the buyer. Inspect every firearm carefully at your FFL before completing the transfer — defects must be reported before you take possession. Non-firearm items (ammunition, optics, accessories, parts) carry a 30-day return window for unopened items in original packaging. Defective items receive free return shipping and a full refund or replacement.

We ship to all 50 US states, but firearm and magazine restrictions vary by state. California, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Illinois, and Washington DC have specific restrictions on certain rifles, magazines, and features — we comply fully with each jurisdiction. If you place an order for a non-compliant item to a restricted state we will email you within one business day with options to substitute or refund.

Every firearm and accessory we sell carries the full manufacturer warranty as if you purchased directly from the maker. Glock, Sig Sauer, Smith & Wesson, Ruger, Springfield Armory, and Colt all offer lifetime limited warranties on their handguns and rifles. We also provide our own 30-day functional guarantee — if your firearm has any mechanical or factory defect within 30 days of FFL pickup we will coordinate the warranty claim on your behalf and cover all shipping costs.
