most inexpensive 1911, great bang for the buck

I bought this at the store in ogden. I took it home and pulled it apart looking for obvious problems since this is the lowest priced 1911 commander I could find. The only things that bothered me were the mag follower and that the 1/32nd space lacked between barrel and feed ramp. Took it out with ball ammo and no problems. Bought a 2nd mag and the worst looking hollow point I could find. It jammed even with good mags. I polished and throated it. No more jams using different types of Hollow points. Still I only have about 250 rounds through it since the polish. All of them hollow points: 185 gr PMC hollow points, 230 grain Mag tech hollow points, and Hornady critical defense rounds and NO FTF and FTE’s. I’ve been using three mags, the one that came with it, a Wilson 8 rd, and McCormick (spell?) classic. … for a 1911 plus a few hours for a ramp and throat job and it shoots HP and Ball out of three different type mags. Definitely deserves 4 stars so far.
